This site is run by RT LLC, an Idaho limited liability company, doing business as Sled & Stone (“we”, “us”). This page explains what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. We have tried to write it in plain English.
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run a waitlist, answer your training questions, and see how many people visit. We do not sell your data. We do use one advertising tool, the Meta Pixel, and it is described below along with how to turn it off.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist or ask us to send you something.
- What you tell the Coach. That includes the optional answers you tap (races completed, division, when your race is, which station you struggle with, and optionally age range and glove size) and the questions you type. Every one of those is optional and you can skip them.
- Your member profile, if you have one. Joining the Sled & Stone Hybrid Racing Club, leaving your email in the Coach, or saving a plan or splits in the Trainer, gives you a free profile. It holds your email, your first and last name if you add them, your member number, the races and times you add, and a copy of your Trainer data (your race, the sessions you tick, your training log and your answers) so it comes back on any device you sign in on. You can delete it from your profile page at any time, or ask us to. While you are signed in, the Coach reads your saved plan, race and logged times so it can answer about your actual week. If you add your plan to a calendar, your calendar app fetches it from a private link that only shows the plan. Members get a Monday training email, which you can switch off from any of those emails or from your profile.
- Your public page, only if you switch it on. Members can pick a name and publish a page at sledandstone.com/club/yourname. It is off until you turn it on. When it is on, anyone with the link sees your first name and last initial (or your full name, if you choose), your photo if you add one, member number, the races and times you added, and badges earned from your training. It never shows your email, your training log or your next race, and it is kept out of search engines. Turn it off, change the name or remove the photo from your profile at any time; the page stops showing within minutes. We remove photos that are not of you.
- Basic visit data. Which pages were viewed, the website that referred you (we keep only the site name, never the full link), and a random identifier stored in your browser so we can tell one visitor from one person reloading. This part is our own, it is not linked to your name and does not follow you to other websites.
- Advertising audience data, via the Meta Pixel. We use Meta’s pixel so that we can show ads about our products to people who have visited this site. It tells Meta that a browser visited a page here. If you are logged into Facebook or Instagram, Meta can connect that visit to your account. This is the one thing on this site that does track you across services, so we have set it out separately rather than burying it. See below for how to switch it off.
- Order information, if and when we sell you something: what you bought, and the shipping and contact details you enter. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- How you use the HYROX Trainer. Which Trainer pages you open and what you click there: the race you pick, the goal time you set, the sessions and checklist items you tick. This is tied to the random visitor identifier stored in your browser, not to your name or email, unless you also choose to save a plan with your email.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- Apart from the Meta Pixel described above, we do not run third-party advertising tools. Visitor statistics come from our own counter and from Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports only aggregated numbers. There is no Google Analytics on this site.
- We do not ask for, or want, sensitive information such as health records or government identifiers.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and to tell you when the product is available.
- To make the Coach’s answers relevant to your race and your experience level.
- To understand what people find useful, in aggregate, so we build and write better things.
- To see which parts of the HYROX Trainer get used and which get ignored: which races people pick, which sessions get ticked, where they stop.
- To design and size our products. Glove size responses, for example, genuinely inform our manufacturing run.
- To process and ship orders, and to handle support.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf, and we do not permit them to use it for their own marketing.
- Vercel hosts the website and provides Web Analytics: aggregated, cookieless page statistics (pages, referrers, countries, device types) with no personal identifiers.
- Upstash is the database that stores the items above.
- Formspree delivers waitlist signups to our inbox.
- Resend sends the emails we send you: a saved plan link, and list emails about the launch. Every one carries an unsubscribe link.
- Anthropic provides the AI model behind the Coach. The question you type is sent to them to generate an answer.
- Shopify hosts checkout and handles payment processing when you buy something. Shopify handles your card details directly; we never see or store them.
- Google Search Console shows us anonymous, aggregated search statistics. It does not identify individuals.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives the pixel data described above, so we can advertise to people who have visited this site.
Storage in your browser
We store a few small values in your browser: a random visitor identifier, a record of your Coach session so your answers persist while you use it, and, in the HYROX Trainer, the race you picked, your program progress and your race-week ticks so they are still there when you come back. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
If you are a member, we also set one cookie that keeps this browser signed in to your profile. It is only used for that, and signing out removes it.
The Meta Pixel also sets its own cookies, which is how Meta recognizes a returning browser. Those are Meta’s, not ours.
How to turn off the advertising pixel
Any of these work, and none of them affect the rest of the site:
- Adjust your ad settings in your Meta Accounts Center, which controls how Meta uses data from sites like ours.
- Turn on “Do Not Track” or an equivalent privacy signal in your browser. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where we receive them.
- Use a browser or extension that blocks third-party trackers.
- Or email us at support@sledandstone.com and ask us to exclude you.
How long we keep it
Email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them. Coach and visit records are kept while they are useful and are automatically limited and aged out over time. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can also go straight to sledandstone.com/unsubscribe. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the GDPR or the CCPA. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.
To do any of that, email support@sledandstone.com. We will respond as quickly as we can and within any period the law requires.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it. The Youngstars option in the Trainer is for a parent or coach training a young athlete: the parent or coach signs up with their own email, and public member pages are switched off for Youngstars profiles.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious on the site.
